RiseWell Community Services is looking for a full-time Program Manager for our Barbara Faron Residence, an Affordable Supportive Housing development in Far Rockaway, Queens. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our BFR residence, serving individuals in recovery from mental illness and/or substance use.
In this position, you will be providing opportunities for formerly-homeless individuals and those with special needs to improve their health, quality of life, and helping maintain community living for as long as possible.
Our Program Manager should be a dynamic and proactive individual who excels independently but also as a collaborative team member. You will be responsible for hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff, while developing services and activities based on the residents’ needs. You will provide oversight on your program and ensure quality service. Ideally, you are a self-starter with a commitment to making a meaningful impact.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field
- Experience working with individuals who are homeless, in recovery from mental illness, and/or substance abuse
- Supervisory experience required
- Residential service experience preferred
- Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong supervisory skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout Long Island and NYC
CORE & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate program staff
- Develop services and activities based on residents’ needs to assist them to maintain tenure in the community
- Provide direct supervision of staff at least twice per month
- Provide oversight of residents’ records including but not limited to progress notes and support plans, minimum quarterly
- Monitor the development and implementation of support plans with collateral service providers, staff, and residents
- Coordinate residents’ admission and discharge processes
- Ensure maintenance of occupancy rates, rent collection, billing, etc.
- Oversee financial issues for residents including annual income verifications and rental stipends
- Provide supportive counseling and appropriate behavioral intervention with residents
- Oversee maintenance issues in conjunction with facilities management and the maintenance department
- Facilitate weekly staff meetings and trainings with documentation
- Actively participate in weekly occupancy meetings, monthly high risk meetings, and quarterly high risk committee meetings
- Complete program reports as required
- Ensure programs and services are delivered with a harm reduction, person centered approach
- Remain current on changing developments in individual field of expertise
SALARY: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 Annually, BOE
