RiseWell Community Services is looking for a full-time Social Worker for our Clinical Department, working in RiseWell’s new branch of Substance Use Services in the Methadone clinic. Our Methadone clinic is a crucial addition to the county in treating and helping individuals struggling with opioid addiction manage withdrawal symptoms and allow them to focus on recovery.
In this position, you will be providing therapeutic groups and individual interventions to assist members in mental health and substance use recovery. As a part of an interdisciplinary team, you’ll be working to improve the health and quality of life of a caseload of program members.
Our Social Worker should be a dynamic and proactive individual who excels independently but also as a collaborative team member. Ideally, you are a self-starter with a commitment to making a meaningful impact.

SALARY: $50,000.00 Annually
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field (LMSW, LMHC, LCSW)
- NYS Licensed preferred
- Valid and clean NY State driver license
- Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from OASAS
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
CORE & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
- Provide therapeutic services to groups and individuals to assist in mental health and substance use recovery
- Complete all required documentation within a 48 hour period
- Effectively comply with program and OASAS regulations
- Effectively maintain a caseload of program members to provide individual of group therapy to on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis
- Formulate and conduct group treatment
- Coordinate quality care with members and outside resources
- Assist in the maintenance of the center and ensure the environment promotes recovery
- Responsible to comply with agency Compliance plan and False Claims Policy by preventing, detecting and reporting any potential healthcare abuse and fraud. Report any potential non-compliance and comply with all other federal, state and local regulations applicable to this job description.
- Responsible for proficiency in all agency based IT applications.
- Responsible to perform all other job duties as assigned.
- Complete program reports as required
- Ensure programs and services are delivered with a harm reduction, person centered approach
- Remain current on changing developments in individual field of expertise
